Are You Old Enough For Mature Dating
You have not been on a date in five years. Even since your spouse died, you spend time alone. You feel that you need to spend some time with people your own age but, you are not sure how to go about this task. It has been a number of years since you went out on a date and you have a fear of mature dating because; you are not sure you should be dating.
Of course, all of us, who have made it to middle age (are you middle aged when you reach forty or when you reach sixty?) desire to have fun just as the younger generation does. Being able to share fun times with another person is fantastic but, how do you get to know someone, if you are not dating?
Does the term “mature” mean that you are too old to enjoy swimming, fishing, dancing, running, or sex? Are you labeled as mature because you have achieved a certain number of years or does it mean you are level headed? Does the word “mature” really need to be associated with the word “dating” to separate us from the rest of the population? Why can they not just call it “dating”?
You life did not stop with the death of your spouse. You still love the beauty around you and find aspects in your life that you analyze but, have no one to ponder these issues with. Are you ready for the dating scene?
The reason we date is to get to spend some time with others who are of like mind. Or you may date someone who has none of the views you do. But, we should all consider that we do enjoy being around others who we like and respect. No matter what age bracket that may be, we enjoy rapport.
Our lives are short but, that does not mean we should stop living once we have surpassed an established age. Date if you want to date. There is nothing stopping you but, yourself.
